Would driving blindfolded help employees build productivity? |
|
by John G Agno |
At the BMW Performance Center, companies
spend $8,000 per day to have employees learn to trust
each other and communicate better through a series of driving exercises. All involve some form of blindfolding with employees working together to get cars through the course. Companies sometimes forget that team-building and productivity improvement need to pertain to real work situations. With labor costs now absorbing almost 87% of the output of nonfinancial corporations, management must increase productivity fast enough to fund both higher wages and decent profits for shareholders. Companies are going to have to do better than the 2.2% productivity growth of the 1990s when in an environment of rising interest rates. If your workplace productivity isn't up to what it should be, now is the time to help managers leverage and turbocharge their people power--preferably with their blindfolds off. Executive and team effectiveness coaching can provide the personal learning necessary for increased productivity growth. For information on executive coaching ROI, go to: http://www.tellboss.com |
